Default Battery dead, now it is not?????

Nikki called me yesterday to inform me she was broke down with the 2000 Vette at her work.

When I arrived, I noticed that the car has power, but not enough to keep the starter engaged. Basically it would try to turn over, then start clicking (solenoid kicking in and out).

So, I first checked the battery terminals. They were clean and tight. I then tried to start again, and no go.

I ended up hooking the Dually with jumper cables to it for about 15 minutes, then was able to fire it off. The Volt meter read off the chart (like overcharging) for a few minutes until it all recovered.

Bad battery....right?

Well, I just went out to yank it and replace it. When I opened the hood the light was glowing, so I hit the key, and Boom! She fired right up. So, I drove it down to Autozone, yanked the battery and put it on the test machine. It tested good!

So, hmmmmm, that is so strange.

Thoughts?

I threw it back in the car, she fired right up and I just drove it home. Volt meter is cruising right about 13.8, and all looks well.
Oh, the green light in the battery is very dim however...clues?

Nope, but someday.

HI there, 69,
Is it possible that the battery has a broken terminal??????
I have also seen bad grounds at the block, where they are loose, passenger side, above the starter.
I would start there, c4c5
