Barry,

I'm not sure what codes your looking for, but I have the orginal set of mirrored glass tops on my 81. They are LOF Blue. If there is a number on the glass that you need let me know and I'll go get it off mine and re-post.

Yes,
Could you tell me the numbers on the glass when you get a chance? Check both drivers and passenger if they are the same.

Thank you... Barry

Barry, here is what I found on my glass tops;

D.side: Blue
safety Flo-lite
LOF
AS-3 TZ

P. side: Blue
safety Flo-lite
LOF
AS-3 CZ
I have tried to show the stencil as it actually appears on the tops. However I can't make the LOF stay where I want it. It is actually printed diagonally between the words safety and flo-lite. My vette was built in March of 81 and according to the information that I have these were delivered with the car as optional equipment.

Thanks for the link Joe!
Does anyone have the same codes on the drivers and passenger
t-tops? Anyone I talk to doesn't????? Is this normal or have the previous owners been replacing them?

Mine are both the same (M92A), for what it's worth. Given the easy with which glass tops can be broken, I don't think it's suprising that many people have replaced one top, at some point in time.

Barry,

Are you refering to the date codes or the actual glass code? Mine are both M1131 which is laminated glass, correct for 78-81. Maineshark your M92A glass code indicates that yours are tempered glass which was the correct glass top for 1982.

The numbers I am talking about are in the middle of the stamp

as-3 vz
as-3 cz

This is what mine read.
Does everyone elses vary from side to side or should they both read the same?

If your trying to match up your tops you can always get on Ebay and search "corvette tops" There is a guy on there who specializes in T-Tops and if you needed just 1 side would most likely have it.I wanted to get them for my 80' and ended up buying 1 at a time and they matched up pretty well but sometimes the tints are completely off.The guys ID is Harkema and he buys as well as sells them on Ebay.He normally has a set of M1131's on there but have nrver seen them hit his reserve.
The tricky part is the shipping as I bought a single top from 2 different people and they got broken in the mail.I finally got a couple delivered intact and then I decided to sell and it tipped over and cracked while I was taking the photo of it.
If you go to Ebay you will need to ask the codes(M1131,M92 ect.) most of the time and will need to tell the sellers where to find them as most don't seem to know.As for the AZ3 ect. I think they are the dates they were made.Just make sure if you buy a set that the tints match!
