You speak the truth my friend! Nothing makes one apreciate life more than life itself and all of the wonders we have at our disposal. To be alive in and of itself is a blessing that we all too often take for granted.

We must be thankful for all that we are and the life and love we share with our fellow inhabitants of this giant orb we call home.

-Eric

Rob,
Good article. Believe me, at 40 I can tell you that life does not get any easier. Enjoy your freedom. Once the responsibilities of a wife, kids a mortgage and such hit you on top of the work crap it really gets fun.
Like I wrote a while back, the open road and a fast car are some of my best times. You are alone with the machine and you feel in sync.
If you get lucky enough (like Chris) to find a woman that shares your love of cars, life will be so much better. Then you will not have the struggles of justifying new headers or a bigger engine. From experience, the only thing that negates those arguments are enough money to make it a non-issue (and who has that much money).
We all reach an age where people we know start to pass away. With cancer and AIDS, that age is getting younger and younger. Just this week two teenagers I know died. One in a plane crash with her entire family and another in an car wreck while picking up something she dropped.
Life is but a flicker. We should enjoy every day. (now I plan to go practice what I preach and have a really good lunch!!!!!)
