Look at my post 327 Mystery engine next gen.
That will have all the info you need.
So does your car have A/C.. if you use the STOCK Double hump heads...your screwed, the heads have no ACC bolt holes, and the head casting is to thin to drill & tap.
You will also have to change the valve seats to hardened seats to run unleaded.
Did the 74 have a CAT?
Your emissions plumbing will not work without some reworking.
Get the casting numbers off the block & heads and I will ID it for you.
Unless you REALLY are getting a killer deal ( under $400.00, which I paid for mine including engine stand & Turbo 400 tranny)
Leave it alone... rebuild the SNOT out of another engine!
