Default Something very strange happined to my car today!!!

O.K. I just arrived at my bank to make a deposit, I turned the key to shut the motor off..... it did'nt turn off!!!!! it still was running!!! No, I don't mean it was dieseling!!! It was running, as if I hadnt taken the key out of the ignition!!! The keys was in my hands and yet the car was still on!!! I sat there for at least a couple of minutes, watching the engine run!! so finally I put the key back in and put the ignition to the on position, and drove to my work!! I finally arrived at my job, turned the key off and out of the ignition.... you guessed it!! it was running once again!!! So I got out of the car with keys in my hand opened up the hood to see if I would notice something odd, as soon as I lifted the hood.... the engine stopped running!!! I tried and tried again to get the car to do the samething,,,, of course, I cant now, but I am affraid of it doing it again, espacailly when my wife takes the car, she won't know what to do... I don't know what to do!!! Can somebody help and explan the problem and how I can fix it? Did my car have a brain fart? and wont do it again? Do I need an Exorcist or something?!?!? Help!!

Default Do you have a remote start option

Some after market alarms have a remote start function ( like my Viper alarm)

It could be that the remote start functions ( the relay ) is hung up.. and the HOOD pin switch ( Like on mine ) will shut the Ign line off ( ground it )

So

A) Do you have an after market alarm?

B) Can you repeat the problem at will?

Vig!

I hate to state the obvious here but the problem is obviously not mechanical... your first mistake was taking the corvette to the bank... all corvettes know when thier owner has money... so for lack of a better reason it just didn't turn off... quickly pay all your bills with whatever money you have, then hopefully the car will have some compassion and fix itself... haha... truthfully I think vig is on the right track... my remote starter did the same thing in my old buick, ended up having to take it out...
