Shift Console replacement cover?

The genius child, yeah the previous owner, , decided to modify the original 4+3 and drop in a T56 6-Speed -- (that is not the stupid part) --- he #%#!#$% rigged the shift console and failed to replace any type of shift cover around the modifications, so it looks really mickey-mouse. Basically, I guess what I am asking for is if there are any aftermarket or custom DIY cutouts that I could make that would cover up the carnage done to the original tranny console inside my car. (to go around the base of the shifter and make it look cleaner. Any ideas?

Have you thought about the wood overlays that can be had from Ecklers or Mid America? They cover up all sorts of defects and are considerably cheaper then replacing the originals. Also check out EBAY...that is where I bought a complete dash replacement all covered in wood laminate....Good Luck
