Hi all -
finally , finally , finally ....the AC is working.
Turned out that the NON-AC Delco Compressor unit I bought was junk....
bad clutch adjustment...among other things...very hard to figure out apparently....
Anyhow, purchased a new Delco unit from The Last Detail for $260
and after another $175 in flush, pull vacuum , fill, labor ..etc....
my AC now works and cycles correctly. :D
BTW, the unit that was junk was called FACTORY AIR.
Save yourself the hassle and dont even bother tryin to buy a non AC Delco unit.....read my previous posts if you want to read about all the hassle and numerous trips to the shop Ive been making over the last few months
It aint worth saving a few bucks .
so now I have AC...now that the weather is getting cooler :(
Now I need to fight with Advanced Auto this weekend to make them refund
me my cost of their junky compressor...I bought it 4 months ago...
( which tells you how long of a hassle this has been )
