Cruise Control Switches

Does anyone know an easy way to remove the turn signal handle/cruse control switch assembly? Cruse set switch is bad.

From my 90 manual, to remove the multi-function lever:

1. Remove the steering column housing cover end cap by pulling rearward (toward front of vehicle).
2. Remove the electrical harness connector and grommet.
3. Pull toward driver door to release detent/multi-function lever.
