My Corvette(s):
Default Reclining Seat Backs

Hi.
Can anyone tell me what the first year, (if any...), the Seat Backs in the '78 to '82's had a recline adjustment? I know that the '79 got the lightweight seats that were optional in '78; from what I've read the '79 seats did not have this recline adjustment feature either.

Thanks

I don't know of any 78-82 seat that reclines.The raised section of the storage area would prevent it from going back very far.

bankboy,

The late model C3 bucket seats that hinged in the middle of the back will not "recline" in the traditional way. But those with the power seat option can get the entire bucket to "tilt" back a certain degree. But like BURGLAR says it only goes so far until it conflicts with the raised section of the rear storage area.

Sorry........... Nut
