Turbo 400 in a 1981 vette

I am a new owner of a 1981 vette. Although I love the way the car looks, I am not impressed with it's performance charistics.

I have a few questions and I need some help, please.

1 Will a turbo 400 fit in a 1981 vette?

2 Will the stock rear handle 400 + HP?

3 What is the difference between the rear end in a 1979 compared to a 1981. Is the 1979 stronger?
