that shows a salvage title from New Jersey issued 9/1/91 hope that helps and isn't too late to help.

The car was titled in Kentucky on 3/30/93 and again on 6/16/97 then went to Ohio on 6/3/2000

Hi Karl, thanks for the carfax info.
In the meantime I had gotten the complete carfax in an email from a member.

This is a '90 coupe that I rolled over a few times near Pittsburgh, Pa. in '92

Allstate Ins totaled it. I gave them the title they gave me a check.

The car faxed showed it was sold as salvage to NJ. The 4 months later it appears with a Ky title and no salvage endorsement.

It changed hands a couple of times in KY and then recently went to Ohio.

I am assuming the Ky and Oh owners know nothing about the title wash.;stupid

This might not be a dirty trick by anyone . Someone close to me bought a Vette out of state with a salvage title but when the title came back from our state there was no sign it was salvaged .

the person that paid salvage price and sold it as non salvage is guilty.
a mistake by the state does not absolve them of fraud.
