Need to know ASAP

Can you clearcoat your motor. I'm firing my motor tonight and someone told me I should shoot it with clearcoat so that the intake and other aluminum parts would stay clean.

Is there a high temp clearcoat?

Every motor/aluminum parts I've seen that has had clear shot on it has yellowed from heat, gas has stained the clear, and it looks terrible after a while. Gas stains clean up very nicely on aluminum with brake cleaner.

John, So far that has been my experience. I was hopeing that they had come out with a better product.

I'm going to check with some machine shops come Tuesday.
