I would like to learn more about restoring the stainless trim and accessories on Corvettes. My current project is removing the dents from a set of 1965 hubcaps. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help!

Typical '65 wheel covers. A nice '65 cover is indeed a rare item. Here's a couple suggestions. Go to the NCRS Online Store (http://www.ncrs.org/store/shop.cgi/page=index.html) and look for a book titled How to Restore Metal Auto Trim . It covers all kinds of stainless trim repair including wheel covers. Retail $14.95 or $13. member price. Try searching the title in the new CAC Corvette Book Store (http://corvetteactioncenter.com/books.php) that Rob has just introduced. Doesn't hurt to shop price.

Also The Eastwood Company (http://www.vista1.com/eastwood) has books and a line of special tools for stainless restoration.

Good luck,
Tom
