My Corvette(s):
1969, convertible
Default wiring on a 1969.

Help Please!!!
On my 1969 wiring diagram it shows 2 black wires coming out of the instrument cluster both wires are connected to one female connector and they are shown listed on the diagram between the ampmeter and the water temp. gauge.

It says they are console ground. Does anyone have an idea where they go? It has a connector on it to go to a terminal at least connector loks like that.

Appreciate any help you all can offer..

Thanks

Don :

If I remember correctly, one goes to an "L" shaped spade connector which is screwed to the underside of the console in the area of the ashtray. The other?? Don't remember. It's been awhile since I had the center cluster out of the car. Chuck

Yep, one goes into the center console to ground the cig lighter, the other to the gauge, then the other end goes up and into the main harness and makes several other connections before running off to chassis ground.
