$1000 Gift Certificate????

I have read on another (Corvette Forum) site that a person picking up a Z06 from another state was given by the dealer a $1000 gift certificate?? Has anyone heard of this? I am picking up my car on tuesday and my dealer has not told me of any such certificate? I need to know before I go to pick it up if this is true. I have had this done by Hustedt Chevrolet on Long Island in NY where they took a rebate ( my SS Camaro 2001) for $1000 and never told me of it until I found it on the internet.!!!! Then they made up some lame excuse that it was in the price of the car?? What a crappy move by those low lifes!! I took them to court and finally won , just don't want it to happen again, Thanks
