My Corvette(s):
Default 1979 emblem application

We just received our new front and side emblems for the vette. They all have the guide pins and adhesive attached to the back. The previous emblems that we took off just had the adhesive. It looks like the previous owner used a grinder on the pins and just used the adhesive. How should they be applied and do they all need speed nuts? Also, does the rear bumber have to be removed to attach the rear emblem ?

Thanks for input. Bill

Welcome to the CAC Bill,

The fenders should have the holes for the emblems. You might need to measure someone elses car or check a Assembly Instruction Manual for the exact location. I have removed the rear emblem on our '81 to clean behind it with no problem. There was good access to the rear.
