View Full Version : S. East Mi. Shoreline Corvette Road Tour Aug 16th
The date is set for this first time event, Aug16th, Hope we have good weather. The Tour will leave Downtown St, Clair at 10am from the Palmer Park. The group will travel from St Clair to Lexington along the waters edge as much as possible (about a 1.5 hr drive incl.stops). A few stops for photos and eats are planned. Shopping in Downtown Lexington in the touristy type shops should be a nice way to split up the trip. Return along the shoreline to St Clair wher we can dine with a nice river view at the Voyager restaraunt. Should be fun. :beer:upthumbs
If it rains, we will cancel the tour so keep your fingers crossed.
There has been responses on the event coming in from our Canadian counterparts, how cool is that! :Twist Thanks all! Now all we need is good weather and we'll be all set.
I got a call from our Local chevy dealer, what a nice guy. He wants to know how they can help. There may be a couple of new Z06's there for you to purchase just in case you were inclined. :upthumbs Interest seems to be growing for the event where I work, There are a lot of Vette owners here. I even had a guy want to come along with a restored English Taxi Cab, right hand driver and all. I told him we would need to at least paint a Corvette on the side or no deal. :chuckle
The Blue Water Convention and Visitors Bureau has us on their event calendar check out the website, lots to see and do in the Blue water area this summer. :w

Dont worry be happy!!
My wife and I have run the proposed rout fine tuning the stops and what not. We have at least 2 stops planned for regrouping from potential traffic lights and drawbridges that may split the group up. One at the base of the Bluewater Bridge to Canada and another at a new beachside park further north.
Intrest seems to be building though I dont have confirmation numbers since there are no tickets sold.

Based on conversations with several people, interest seems to be building though I dont have confirmation numbers since there are no tickets being sold. It sounds like it should be a decent turnout.
I am praying to the nice/great weather gods to treat us well. Maybe I should sacrifice a foriegn car of some sort!!:bash Oh well, Ill check back in as the date comes closer. Thanks KZ
I am trying to get a headcount for the tour.;help If you know you are coming please let me know. If you would like a map of the route give me a heads up and we will have them available for you the day of the tour. Some people are familiar with the area and won't require one.
Participants I have spoken with are beginning to lock in the date. If anyone needs lodging check with the St. Clair Inn @ 810 329-2222 . Its a nice hotel on the river right next to the start of the tour.
Hi all, between emails and phone calls, so far it looks like around 15 are planning to make it !! :upthumbs:ohnoes

Thanks Jane Ann. We're going to give the great time thing our best shot!! As for the pictures, all I have is a point and shoot camera but I'll do my best to get some pictures. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate. I am still gettin calls and emails, the group is gettin larger. I have high hopes for our first year event. :thumb Save the wave:w
Point and shoot is good! Except for the photos MsSchroder has been good enough to take for me, all the photos of my Vette posted on the CAC were taken with a little HP digital camera.
Have a great time!
