Count me in. Made the Crowne Plaza reservations and waiting for the registration. Will be a long drive, but will be worth it.

Barrett, I think you meant "Crowne Plaza" reservations, right?

Well, you can tell that I am an old coot, I retain the old names. During my many travels for work, I stayed at Holiday Inns and Crowne Plazas among the zillions of hotels over the past 40+ years. The Crowne Plazas were HI, but not all HI were Crowne Plazas. So now that Gregory and Scott have corrected me, I will be staying at the Crowne Plaza with the rest of the group. I hope there are many of us there, even if the gas prices continue to rise.

Barrett, I know you stand corrected. But, you can sit down now.

I had no idea Holiday Inn was hooked up with Crowne Plaza! See, you learn something new every day!

Now that we have that all straightened out: When is the FUN going to begin???

Gregory
The fun began last Sunday for a bunch of us (27 corvettes) in the front range of Colorado-we had our first drive and dine day. Absolute FUN, perfect for the vettes. As you may remember from the last CF, our police officer friend from Canon City led us on a merry chase through Westcliffe from the Royal Gorge; nobody could keep up with him. On Sunday, he drove his new Z06 and the only way I could keep up with the Z06 was when his wife drove-and she almost left me in the dust. Fortunately there were enough cars in front of her to slow her down. Once he took over, I only saw him at the rest stops. I expect that Andre will have some great routes for us in the Cleveland area, and he too will leave me at the back of the pack.

It starts when you do your final check, lock up the house, and hit the road en route to Cleveland!

Andre, actually it's even going to be more fun than I might be able to stand, because I am going to stop at the NCM and Corvette plant in BG on my way to Cleveland. Was going to go after CF, but the Corvette plant will be down for their annual turn-around. I hope some of the CACers will have a caravan from Cleveland back to the west that I can join. But you are right, as soon as I get in the 02 and head down the road, it will be great fun.

Well, not quite, my friend. Ain't no roads like you have there. What I experienced in Colorado was awesome. But try any shenanigans like that here and you're gonna end up in a world of hurt. Unless you do a sneaky 4:30am run like I've done in the past. But I don't have any of those scheduled during CruiseFest.
Any cruises we do will be either leisure drives through our parks or just regular ol' highway drivin'...
Ohio isn't known for lax traffic law enforcement. In fact, on our many trips downtown, we'll pass through a nationally known speedtrap in the city of Linndale. It's gotten mention in quite a few car rags over the years.
