Bud, first I had to look at the date to make sure it was not April 1. Since it is April 2, I hope it wasn't a lottery where you get $1 a year for 135,000,000 years. If you struck it rich, or even moderately rich, congratulations. I think Junk needs a helper, and since I retire in two months, I can join him. As an old coot, I won't do much to help him, but of course I can be a paid supervisor. Of course you will have to furnish accomodations for us. If you get to keep Rare and Abby, can a ZR1 or 427 be far behind? Do I see a large garage being planned? If so, contact 67 Heaven, he has the experience.

Winning $135 million lottery ticket sold in the Detroit area
4/2/2008, 9:17 a.m. EDT
The Associated Press | | |
REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A lucky lottery player in Michigan is holding a $135 million winning grand prize ticket from the latest Mega Millions drawing.
State lottery officials said the winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing was sold at a gas station in Wayne County's Redford Township.
Been traveling around Yoda, I mean "my best long lost buddie for life"?

Well it was a wild shot, trying to pull one over on this bunch
I couldn't believe nobody made an attempt yesterday at the age old "April Fool Joke"
I didn't figure it had a chance yesterday, and today Barrett smelled something amiss, but wouldn't commit It was worth a try
So far the Best April Fool Joke to hit the Action Center was, Remember Rob announced about 5 or 6 years ago that he was Shutting Down The Site something about time/money and losing interest, also something about it was more or less a class project he designed for a grade or some Lame reason That one got everybodies knickers in a knot
Ok, so I didn't WIN the Mega Millions, and Rare is still for sale (Kinda )
And I've waited for this for a VERY Long time, these are the perfect eys to finish this thread
Bud

The lottery
I thought I'd won the lottery a few years ago when I finally got my youngest out of college. I can't imagine what the guy in Michigan is feeling.

Winning the lottery would be nice.
Of course, I'd have to play the lottery for that to happen.
If I don't play, I can't lose!
(I can't win, either, I suppose, but I'm a heck of a lot more likely to lose...)

Bud, I would rank 67 Heaven's April Fool's joke last year a close second to Rob's where he said he sold the red coupe to a stock broker or someone who offered a whole lot of $ that he could not refuse. I bit on that one. To tell you the truth, I was hoping you had won the $135 million and would turn into John Beresford Tipton. But I am sorry for your loss (did you even buy a ticket?), but it was probably for the better as you would have spent it wisely and foolishly at the same time. You probably would have endowed the NCM (wisely) and purchased the entire corvette production run for 2009 (foolishly). Bet you'd like to have the opportunity though.
Again, my friend, sorry you didn't win.
Barrett
PS I really hope you can keep RARE.

Man, I remember that one like it was yesterday. Most of us took it hook, line & sinker. A couple even tried to grab the fishing rod.

Haha very funny. Now if you did win you should give all of CAC some and Rob a little bit as well.
