AAA Cites Corvette, Scion As Insurance Extremes
BMW, Mustang Also Mentioned As Expensive To Insure
The American Automobile Association of Southern California issued a list comparing which car brands are most and least expensive to insure.
The top five most expensive automobiles were, in order: the Corvette, with an insurance premium of $2,300; three models in the BMW 500 Series; the Ford Mustang GT convertible; the Volkswagen Eos VR6 and the BMW Z-4.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Scion was least expensive with a premium of $1,200. Other cars that made the thriftier list included: the Chrysler PT Cruiser; the Subaru Legacy Outback; the Chevy HHR and the Toyota Corrolla.
