My Corvette(s):
1993 ruby red
Default sounds crazy--but it works

My 93 ruby red now has 92K miles & has gotten hundreds of tiny rock marks on the front bumper which show up as little white spots (primer i guess) and there really is no way to touch up that many (the ruby red touchup paint never quite matches anyway)--so, i took some cordavan colored paste shoe polish & wiped over them & then wiped it off real good--it stained those white spots to an exact match of the paint--could not believe how good it looked--went over it with some wax & have a nice shine with no white spots-this should work with black paint as well & any other color that color matches the shoe polish--just remember this is the PASTE not the liquid polish.

Default Shoe polish

I've been using shoe polish (black paste) on the plastic/vinyl belt line on my C4 for years. Hey it's black wax,and it works excellent.

I have not been as successful as Hooks, but it was certainly an improvement. I only left the paste type polish on for a few minutes, then wiped off using Adam's Detail Spray and a microfibre towel. I'll try several appilcations, with the hope that that will solve all the dings. My ruby has only 30,000 miles since the bonnet was painted (It now has 102,000), and I was shocked looking under the garage lights at the amount of tiny dings.
I did use the liquid polish on a few wear spots on the seats with pretty good results.
Thanks for the tips.
