My 20 year old son just sighed up to join the Navy. He goes to Great lakes Ill April 9 for basic training. He has been going to school at UNLV in vegas. He scored very high on entrance tests. He said he would like to get into world language. Most likely he will translate incomeing messages from bad guys overseas. WE are all very proud to have our son join the armed forces of America.:beer

:upthumbs Mark, to you and your Son :upthumbs

Sounds like Kryptonology (sp) or at least I think that is what they called it back in the dark ages ;) or maybe (Data Analyist) I knew a few of those guys. Very intense schooling and a 6 year commitment..

:pat to your son and give him a pat on the back for me, and wish him luck in his new career change :pat

Welcome to the "family" of Military Dads!!! :w
Military Moms have their own group.

May your son do very well at Great Lakes (Spring is on the way), at E-school (do they still call it that?) and the rest of his career afterwards.
May you never have any sleepless nights worrying about him...:nono... because he will be there for you - and us.

Congrats to you, Mark! And please pass on to your son my appreciation for his decision to answer the call to service for all of us.

Thanks a bunch Bud, Bruce and Jane Ann. This kid is sharp as a tack. The navy has no idea what they got. He'll do a great service for all of us and the Navy. Mark
