Default Chamois, versus cottons.

Hi all, something i have always wanted to know is why in US most seem to use cottons or towls to dry down there cars, i lived in California for 10 years and noticed that. Over twenty five years ago i used leather Chamois, but in about 1980, i started useing synthetic chamois here in New Zealand and Australia, and have never changed. I realize there are cheap no good synthetic chamois out there, but there are excellent fantastic chamois available and the best are not cheap, and are made in Japan or holland, the best i use are dutch, you can wash, dry ,andfinish the whole car useing the same Chamois, they are keeped in there container slightly wet, so you can use them if a bird does you now what on your vette, and they are super soft, never leave streak marks ,the dutch ones were available in California if i remember, they are called Enka fill, PF - EF-OI, made in Netherlands. regards Wayne.
