Roll Bar

I just purchased a 2010 GS convertible. I also just found out I can't drive it on a track without a roll bar. Has anyone installed a roll bar yet in their new GS? Any suggestions for me? I'm in California and need someone to be able to do this for me. This is my 1st vette and I'm hooked......

What kind of racing? It doesn't matter, you need a roll bar/ cage. Remember you do not have a dry sump oil system. Taking serious turns possible engine damage, even drag racing lots of hard exceleration may cause some oil starvation engine damage. But not to worry your under warrenty. Right.

Thanks for your reply. I did get a roll bar from Breathless Performance. Had it installed and it looks great. My GS Does have the Dry sump Oil system. I believe it comes standard with the manual transmission.
I'm just looking to drive real fast, but remain somewhat safe.

I own a 2010 grand sport convert. 6 speed manual trans. LT 2 w/ power top, guess what It does not come with dry sump oiling system. Check around. Get your facts straight guy

Only GS coupes with six-speed manuals have the dry sumped LS3. It's not available on Convertibles.

Soon as GM believes you're doing track day events it may void your warranty, so be careful but...put the bar in and have fun!!

Congrats on your 2010 GS LT2, I actually have the 4LT. It's a great car. Roll bar is in and looks awesome. Warranty, what warrenty. lol. Oh byw, it's Mrs. Dudette. I'm a girl..................
