Woman killed, passenger in critical condition following 1969 Corvette racing crash
EVERETT, WASHINGTON – One woman is dead and her passenger in critical condition after what police describe as a racing incident ended in a violent crash in Everett. The Washington State Patrol says the 24-year-old driver of a blue Corvette lost control and smashed into a tree on northbound Interstate 5 at State Route 526 in Everett Friday afternoon. The car split in half at the impact.

Off-duty Long Beach Police officer killed in 710 Freeway crash was speeding
PARAMOUNT, CALIFORNIA – An off-duty Long Beach police officer killed in a solo vehicle collision on the northbound 710 Freeway was traveling more than 100 miles per hour at the time of the crash, authorities said. Officers found that the officer lost control of his 2014 Chevrolet Corvette and struck the center divider. The car traveled off the freeway and across a dirt and shrub area where it overturned several times.
